Editorial portrait shoot in Montreal’s Old Port

These are some images from a super sunny, early Fall portrait shoot I shot earlier this month. My client was super excited about the new path she’s on and what that means for her business. She called and we talked about what vibe she wanted in her images we I knew right away I could make her exactly what she needed. Typically on this journal I don’t show shoots that don’t fit within the Montreal Weddings, couples engagement and adventure session, and also the families I work with but on this blog, but I think there’s plenty of room to show these shoots as many of my couples end of hiring me for other photography.

I often find it super helpful to show my clients their images in use, that is, examples of their portraits displayed in the way other might see them, in real use. Sometimes we see images of ourselves and think, I don’t like the way I look in this image, or the opposite can be true and we love allllll the images of ourselves. Doing this helps my clients see themselves in way that’s removed from just a portrait of themselves, they can separate themselves from the person in the photo and find another way to connect with the image. Since I have another design and web development business called Yeah Yeah Yeah, I easily design little mockups for this, and simply drop these images into my designs and it honestly makes such a difference for my clients.

Obviously there are so many more images from the shoot I’d love to show, but these images are for my client, and I'll let her show them to world :) But are you thinking about doing something great and need new images to help share your story or passion?
