I'm launching an online photography course - Adventure Session

I'm launching an online photography course called Adventure Session. This is a course for any aspiring photographer, or anyone already working as a photographer that wants to create images with couples that are playful, expressive and always fun to develop.

This course will help you build and sharpen your photography skills across many areas but we're largely talking about portrait photography.

Any new or beginner photographers should not be afraid to jump in and get started because if we're taking about portrait photography there is so much more to it than taking photos. The main focus of my online class is to learn how to create amazing experiences for your couples, because without your 'model' or 'subject' feeling great your photographs likely aren't going to capture what you want from two people. Adventure Session is pretty much the complete guide to learning how to setup situations that are playful, fun, loose, expressive, and always seriously fun. For my clients, this is the experience they want, and book me for. Other photographers will have their own thing going on which is great, because you really need to love what you do if you're going to invest the time it takes to get great at working in manual mode.

I've taken many photography classes over the years but I've never seen a class like the one I'm creating.

You don't need any special camera or even a digital camera. You can use whatever you're comfortable using or have right now. Your skill level doesn't matter, the type of camera you use doesn't matter, heck color theory doesn't matter, all you need is a passion to get started exploring new ways to create experiences for your couples. We'll work with bright light, low light, what to do when you have nothing but terrible light, and finish off editing a session using Adobe Lightroom. Post processing isn't a major factor with my shoots because I shoot black and white in camera, and prefer to keep my editing very natural and not heavily processed.

Many photographers have great technical skills, knowledge of photoshop and editing, and experience working with natural light, which are great skills to have but when you're working with two people that are always different in locations and situations that are changing you need a lot of resources to make things happen that have nothing to do with photography classes. You can't just watch a bunch of YouTube videos or free photography tutorials to figure things out. Its true that amazing photos sometimes do just happen in front of you, but this course was made to teach you the methods and techniques I use to create the type of images I can sell to my clients no matter what, rain or shine.
