Portraits here and there

Rather than plan some big epic hour long or more portrait session I like to take a few minutes here, and a few minutes later, and so on, a few times throughout the day with my couples, which keeps their energy fresh, gives their portraits lots of variation, and also opens up much more time for them to be with the people they love and want to spend time with. I know most photographers and couples might find this quite different, but I like to arrange my wedding day portrait sessions like this, and I think my couples like that just fine.

About the image above - taking a minute to themselves, as every bride and groom should do now and then. This is one frame from a wedding with Ashley and James last summer, a celebration that I was looking forward to being apart of for a long time.
