Best Canadian Outdoor Wedding Venues.

I grew up surrounded by fields and farms, this is what home will always look like to me. Despite having lived in Montreal for more than 10 years I'm still happiest when outside the city, surrounded by wide open spaces and scenic views. It's natural then for me to be grateful for clients that wish to capture the essence of their surroundings as an important part of their wedding day experience. I've documented an elopement surrounded by mountains and sleepy cabins in the Canadian Rockies, witnessed intimate gatherings along the wind-swept shores of Nova Scotia, world heritage site Shobac. A few of my favourite outdoor ceremony locations I've been invited to play a part of are below ~ follow each link to learn more about each of these adventures.

Joel & Justyna Bedford tied the knot on the upper outdoor terrace of the Westin Hotel, in downtown Ottawa. This was a windswept and beautifully bright ceremony with a view overlooking the downtown of Canada's capital.

Chryssi & Romain were married near Pavillon de la Jamaïque, built for Expo 67 on Parc Jean-Drapeau. This green, lush space is surrounded by water and willow tress, and is a wonderful space for intimate events within Montreal.

Zofia & Marc were married within the gorgeous vineyard of Le Vignoble de l'Orpailleur, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. The rolling hills, and rich land surrounding this vineyard makes for a very poetic space for such an occasion.

Chateau Frontenac Elopement - Let’s be real here, Quebec City is the place to make all your elopement dreams come true, and Stephanie and Chris did just that at la Chateau Frontenac. In -20 degrees, and a snowstorm, in expensive furs, and a near empty world class hotel.

How do you want to remember your wedding day? What are you most excited about? Tell me all about your inspiration and what you are most looking forward to. Say hello here, I'd love to hear all about it.

To find a beautiful wedding venue, sometimes you have to think outside of places you’ve already been too and seen in person. There are easily 100 wedding venues in Montreal Canada, but sometimes a great venue can be in your own backyard and just needs a little touching up, and adapting for the amount of people on your invite list. Being creative and inventive is the key thing when you find a space that is not walk-in-ready. But these spaces often make the best venues. Think about your own wedding ceremony, can that be done here, there, is it possible?
