Joel and Justyna = My fav editorial wedding photographers.
Let’s just be frank right now: When I met these two they were not collecting millions of air miles flying all over the globe to document gorgeous events and weddings just yet, but I knew they were driven, excited, and great people. They had only started shooting together a little before we met, and quickly became top Ottawa wedding photographers in no time at all. After I shot their engagement shoot (this was pre-adventure sessions) I knew Justyna was going to be the type of bride photographers love, her fashion is very unique and fun. Joel is literally a model, and Mr Bedford knows how to work those angles ok? Such nice, chill, and gorgeous people, I knew Joel would be an A+ husband, and looks like my intuitions were accurate. The two of them are a totally inspiring couple and a great example of when two heads are better than one. They were great clients and just at the beginning of their rise in the world of wedding photographers. Fast forward years later and Joel and Justyna are very in demand destination wedding photographers.
To be 100% honest, I would say Joel and Justyna's work as photographers and business people is inspiring. There are only a few photographers in Canada I appreciate as much as I do their wedding photos, and generally love all their featured work. Justyna Bedford has a vision that looks like a beautiful throw back to 90’s editorial fashion. Flash in the face in that beautiful hard, yet super chic way. Stunning photos every time. Their digital work, film work, and vision and style is very very put together and kinda incredible. Their work has a truly unique and very personal, approachable look, and as a photographer looking at this I can say there is no other way to create those frames without having huge love for people, and their clients. Which is huge because 'wedding photography services' is a very competitive field, and the wedding world is a beautiful and busy place. You've got all these emotions, and romance, and running around to do while trying to capture all these little and big moments, in your own way at every event, with half dozen cameras, working with other vendors, it's a lot of ground to cover and Joel and Justina do it so well.
On an open terrance 20 floors high overlooking downtown Ottawa, Joel & Justyna tied the knot at Le Westin, Ottawa. Everything was right that wedding day, and it was such an honour to play a part in their wedding celebration. You want to be friends with these two, they are both more than wonderful. Lot's of love to each of you.
